  • Carbon Credits: Get ready for the finals

    [ 29 April, 2009 | 0 Comment  ]

    MM Energy & Commodity Default

    by Jürgen

‘Green’, ‘Carbon Credits’ and ‘Cap and Trade’ have been overly present in the economical RSS feed during the past months. Besides popping up with a metronomic regularity, real decisions have continuously been postponed though, leaving traders and the business world with the financial burden of a regulatory vacuum. The UN Climate Change Conference in Denmark in December is intended to change this. Although this looks still far away, the real economic intra-country negotiations will be prepared the coming two months. Time for some anticipation.

  • IMF Revival

    [ 28 April, 2009 | 0 Comment  ]

    by Markus

Within a year the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is altering from a rainbow chaser to one of the most important supra-national collaboration and settlement platforms on earth. The traditional spring meeting last weekend has obviously created tensions between the members when it came to turning G20 summit committment to factual decisions. If I was China´s president [...]

Given that the world’s supply chain froze completely in 4Q08, it would have [...]

    by James

Trend following is one of the trickiest investment strategies. While it sounds simple, it often involves trading against more prudent and logical styles, such as valuation. Such appears to have been the case recently. The market has had momentum (although it is slowing) and direction, but for sometime now has been apparently diverging from [...]

  • Moving Markets Schork On Fundamentals

    [ 14 April, 2009 | 1 Comment  ]

    by James

Ok, he’s not moving markets. But Steven Schork is one of the most astute commodities market commentators. Today, counter to the upward market (which is largely thanks to Goldman and the Financial Accounting Scam Board) Bloomberg is running his recent interview about commodities as an asset class. His points about the lack of a fundamental [...]
